4-H Photography
4-H Photography
Photography is a great project for everyone
and easier now than ever.
This is Otis, my baby! I take so many pictures of him. This was one that I took today on our lunch walk.
What I love about photography is that it goes along with all the other 4-H projects. For instance, my passion is horses and I love to take pictures of them so that would go with the horse project and photography project. I can't think of any 4-H project that photography couldn't be incorporated in.
Texas 4-H has a great project guide to get you started, Exploring Photography, that covers camera information, how to select a subject, composition, lighting, managing your photos, and displaying your photos.
Here is a list of projects you could show at the fair.
- Photostory of 5-7 photos, size: 3.5 by 5 inches or
4 by 6 inches
- Close-up photographs of different people
- Candid action photographs
- Panorama photographs
- Photographs on common themes
- Photos show editing
- Studies of seasons
- Contrasts photographs (such as texture, pattern,
shape, contrast, etc.)
- Poster showing principles of photography or digital
imaging
