4-H Amphibians & Reptiles
Turtles, Snakes & Lizards Oh My!
Here is a 4-H project we don't hear about much but I'm sure we have 4-H members with a pet snake or turtle. Did you know that 4-H members don't have to own an amphibian or reptile to do the project? Let see what this project might look like with and without a pet snake or any amphibians or reptiles!
If you are lucky enough to have a pet an amphibian or reptile here are some ideas for you. Remember that all of these things can be shown at the fair.
1. Build a habitat for your pet. All the critters require different elements in their home so build something that need. For example, a 4-H member from Lab:Revolution used a 3D printer to make a cave for his lizard. You could do the same thing with clay or Lagos!
If you love amphibians and reptiles but have one or, you have one but learn more about them here are some resources you can use to... make a poster, do a demonstration or use for public speaking.
